Starting on your dreams

"You don't have to be great to get started, but you do have to get started to be great"--Les Brown

This is a wonderful quote by the world's leading motivational speaker, which applies to everyone, and every dream. You don't have to be perfect and conditions don't have to be perfect for you to pursue your dreams. If you wait until you feel conditions are perfect before starting a venture, then you will never get started. There will always be some reason why conditions aren't right. The only way to get on the road toward greatness is to stop making excuses and start your venture.

Many times we make excuses because of fear. Fear is defined as "a distressing emotion aroused by impending danger, evil, pain, etc., whether the threat is real or imagined". So fear can be very helpful, but it can also be a hindrance to pursuing your dreams. Fear is a normal emotion, but you can learn to overcome it.

Take the emotion out of it - Write your dream on paper and how you'll pursue it without considering your fears

Fearless people - Look at people who are doing what you want to do and how great they are at doing it

Take small steps - Start out with small fearless steps, instead of taking a plunge

So start today, fulfilling your life's desire. Stop letting fear get the best of you and get started fulfilling your dreams!
